Abstract:
Abstract The Brazilian school of thought on gestão social is driven by a search for conceptual and practical responses to address strong inequalities. The school of thought of the management of the commons is in line with the work of Ostrom and initially works with the problems of preserving natural resources. These two schools of thought differ and complement each other. The practical dimension of these two proposals defines the field of the Other Management. Based on cultural and organizational anthropology, the Other Management opens dialogue with popular education, epistemologies of the South, ethno-accounting, and alternative models of management.
