Abstract: Abstract Gloria Alvarez is a Guatemalan Libertarian with Cuban and Hungarian roots. She studied at the libertarian university Francisco Marroquin International Affairs and Political Science. She did an internship at the Cato Institute and postgraduate at Georgetown, KU Leuven, and Sapienza Rome. She became viral with a speech sieved by more than 20 million people denouncing populism. Since then she has given more than 3 thousand conferences around the globe. She`s written 3 books and was awarded in 2018 with the Friedrich Hayek Lifetime Achievement Award in Vienna. She is currently running for president in Guatemala with 15 libertarian proposals.
