Chapter Chapter 38 in Libertarian Autobiographies, 2023, pp 221-226 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes my education and professional career as an economist specializing in research, teaching, and outreach on entrepreneurship, business strategy, organizational design, and innovation. I describe my early introduction to free-market ideas of the Austrian school of economics and explain how these ideas inform academic work in management and entrepreneurship. Institutions such as the Mises Institute and individuals including Murray Rothbard, Israel Kirzner, and Oliver Williamson were important in my intellectual development and I suggest further implications of their ideas for free-market thought.
