Abstract: Abstract A Sower of Freedom in Latin America is the story of Hector Naupari, a Peruvian poet, in his discovery of the idea of freedom, thanks to Mario Vargas Llosa, his commitment to that ideal, and his struggle to spread liberalism in Peru, a country trapped by populism and educational socialism, and in Latin America, participating in the Freedom Movement, founding the Ludwig von Mises Study Circle, editing the Open Society and Ácrata magazines, founding the Liberal Network of Latin America (RELIAL) and publishing essay books in defense of liberalism.
