Abstract: Abstract Karen Selick’s love of economic and personal liberty started when she read Atlas Shrugged as a Toronto high school student. She pursued a 38-year-career as a lawyer, culminating in seven years as Litigation Director for a Canadian legal charity focused on individual freedom. Since 1989, she has been a freelance writer and occasionally a magazine columnist. Her strength lies in seeing patterns and connecting dots that others frequently miss, and in her ability to take complex ideas and simplify them for mass consumption. She continues to write because she enjoys helping others find the courage to speak up for freedom.
