Abstract: Abstract In March 2017, I met with His Excellency, Julio Garmendía Peña, Ambassador of Cuba to Canada, at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba for an in-depth discussion. We discussed a wide variety of topics ranging from currency unification, wages, Canada and Cuba, Quebec in Cuba, the economy, foreign investment, the entrepreneurs, and the subject on everybody’s mind at the time, a Trump question.
