Abstract:
Abstract Temperature. We know this word from our childhood. The temperature can be measured by a thermometer. This first impression concerning the temperature is, in a sense, nearer to the essence of matter than the representation of the temperature as a function of a point in space and time. Why? Because the concept of the temperature as a function of a point arose as an abstraction in connection with the conception of continuous medium.
