Chapter Chapter 6 in The Economics of Immigration Beyond the Cities, 2023, pp 123-153 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In many ways the policies are a-spatial in the sense that immigration will not lead to any geographically different outcomes economically. This chapter will discuss what policies are needed to maximise the positive economic consequences of immigration beyond the cities, the hitherto policy responses to immigration and its economic consequences, and what to change to improve the positive consequences, as well as how to do so.
