A chapter in Number Theory in Memory of Eduard Wirsing, 2023, pp 245-256 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Menon’s identity is ∑ a ∈ A ( a − 1 , m ) = d ( m ) φ ( m ) $$\sum _{a \in A} (a-1,m) = d(m) \varphi (m)$$ , where A is a reduced set of residues modulo m. This paper contains elementary proofs of generalizations of this result.
