Chapter Chapter 10 in Multimodal Affective Computing, 2023, pp 115-122 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter delves into the challenges of achieving multimodal emotion and sentiment recognition for affective tutoring systems. The focus is on exploring the motivations for implementing each modality, the differences between modalities, and the DL models used for each modality. The chapter also covers the hyperparameter optimization process and evaluation protocols used for both training and evaluation. Ultimately, the chapter aims to highlight the differences in implementation between unimodal and multimodal models for emotion and sentiment recognition.
