Abstract:
Abstract The chapter focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa and estimates magnitudes of unequal exchange that may be implied in its trade with other parts of the world—notably, with high-income countries and with China. The data are for the year 2009. Part 1 of the article lays out the theory and method and Part 2 reports statistical estimates for Sub-Saharan Africa.
