Chapter 1 in Digitalization, Technology and Global Business, 2023, pp 1-7 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter sets the context and agenda for the discussion in the book and frames the key elements that impact both international business and digitalization/technology. Different angles and perspectives are introduced, building upon mainstream theoretical frameworks, discussions, and primary and secondary research. As technology-enabled transformation in a globalized market is imperative to maintain growth, the book intends to develop a deep understanding of the current environment and of possible future scenarios necessary to keep growth and therefore propel businesses forward.
