Abstract: Abstract An approximation is constructed for the solution of bending of a load-free unbounded elastic plate with a hole, under Robin-type conditions prescribed on the boundary of the hole and given far-field behavior. The procedure is implemented by means of a generalized Fourier series method that makes use of a complete set of functions spanning the space of the solution. The functions of this complete set are constructed from elements intrinsically tied to the analytic structure of the mathematical model.
