Abstract: Abstract Lawrence, or Larry, Hubert, emeritus professor of psychology, statistics, and educational psychology at the University of Illinois, was president of the Psychometric Society in 1983. Hubert earned his Ph.D. under the supervision of Patrick Suppes in 1971 at Stanford University. His research interests are in cluster analysis, combinatorial data analysis, ethics and statistics, and probabilistic reasoning.
