Abstract This chapter traces the antecedentsantecedents of postmodernismpostmodernism back to Immanuel KantKant, I.’s original exposition and follows it forward through various restatements until it reaches its full development in DerridaDerrida, J., FoucaultFoucault, M., and RortyRorty, R.. Its claims are anti-realist and based on social constructionsocial construction and abject conflictconflict. Instead of liberal capitalism, it turns to socialism.
