Chapter 19 in Neo Strategic Management, 2023, pp 177-185 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The world of data has changed dramatically over the past decade. Massive volumes are being generated and data processes from storage and extraction to loading and transformation are assuming new dimensions. Data is revolutionizing the way companies view themselves, their industry, and their future. And data analysis has become a premise to businesses regardless of size or industry. Data-rooted business strategic thinking is also replacing historical patterns. How will that take place and what would it lead to is the focus of this chapter. Impact of data flows and data analysis is explored, especially with regards to strategic thinking, predictive analysis, and control. Data-induced strategic thinking patterns are explored and contrasted with traditional approaches.
