Chapter 8 in Neo Strategic Management, 2023, pp 87-95 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract A vision could provide the core for strategic thinking. It goes beyond the touchable and the familiar. It pierces through the future and projects currents and elements that could go beyond today’s familiar. It is essential for a sense of direction and the sense of compatibility with unforeseen disruptions. Yet visions are not easy to come by. They require a measure of conception that is not always available. Visions are conceived and not constituted. And here lies the difficulty. This chapter deals with the basic concept of visions and ways and means of vision conception. It explores triggers of visions and barriers to visioning. It also relates the dynamics of vision conception to the emerging premises of the advanced stages of artificial intelligence and how visions belong to the heart of the artificial intelligence framework.
