A chapter in Roots of Underdevelopment, 2023, pp 555-577 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract After decades of pursuing economic and social developmentDevelopment strategies, the landmass referred to as Latin AmericaLatin America, including the island nations of the CaribbeanCaribbean, remains a relatively poor and underdeveloped area in the world.
