A chapter in Ethics and Human Resource Development, 2024, pp 105-124 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The case for the need of ethical practices in the HRD domain has long been advocated (Ardichvili and Jondle, Wilson (ed), International human resource development, Kogan-Page, 2012; Hughes, C. (2018). Ethical and legal issues in human resource development: Evolving roles and emerging trends. Palgrave.). Of all the branches of economic activity, banking is considered to be the most central—in fact banks deliver the investment that makes the economy function. However, the ethical behaviour of banks, bankers and bank managers and operators has long been discussed and many doubts have been raised about it. It is in this gap that HRD may fit. Therefore, in this chapter we aim to make a literature review on HRD for Ethics in the banking sector. We will use the SCOPUS database. The chapter will have the following sections: (1) Introduction, (2) Methods, (3) Concepts, (4) Findings, (5) Discussion and (6) Conclusion.
