Chapter 6 in Hypergroups, 2023, pp 155-187 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract It follows right from the definition of an involution that, via the group correspondence, the involutions of a thin hypergroup correspond to group theoretic involutions.1 So it should come as no surprise that involutions play a similarly important role in the theory of hypergroups as group theoretic involutions do in group theory. We will see this on several occasions throughout the rest of this monograph.
