A chapter in Maritime Decarbonization, 2023, pp 3-15 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The opening chapter argues that the scope of maritime decarbonization is much broader than simply repowering ships with low carbon fuels. There are significant opportunities to decarbonize all elements of the maritime transportation and logistics chain. The author of this chapter provides examples and stresses that successful maritime decarbonization will require the application of many mutually-reinforcing measures rather than depending on a few ‘silver bullets’.
