Chapter Chapter 2 in Leadership in Arts Organisations, 2023, pp 5-15 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We understand effective leadership as a means of building and maintaining relationships that are goal- or outcome-oriented. Generally speaking, leadership is, above all, influenced by the work situation, the people and the organisational goals. In this chapter we address the most important variables influencing leadership and give a brief overview of the most important leadership theories.
