Abstract Developing a personal Academic Development PlanAcademic Development plan starts with identifying the skills to be improved, followed by formulating a specific improvement goal and determining its timing. The final step is assessing which feedbackFeedback signals whether you have reached your goal. Going beyond a Ph.D. project, the chapter describes the practices that differentiate successful people, the IkigaiIkigai concept to explore what type of job fits you, and the areas that determine long-term health and success (mental, physical, social, financial and professional).
