A chapter in Handbook of the History and Philosophy of Mathematical Practice, 2024, pp 3033-3045 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, I review the argument of “The Shaping of Deduction in Greek Mathematics,” explaining its elements that may be construed as “semiological,” comparing them with other work I did in the semiology of mathematics, and conclude by pointing out the scope, and limits, of semiological explanation in the history of mathematics.
