A chapter in Corporate Management Ecosystem in Emerging Economies, 2023, pp 25-41 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This quantitative study examined the oil and gas industry of Ghana. The aim is to investigate the effect of sourcing strategies (i.e., single sourcing, multiple sourcing, and partnership sourcing) on the supplier’s performance. We combined the purposive sampling technique with simple random sampling to shortlist and gather data from twenty oil and gas companies. The reliability and validity of the data were confirmed as a first step. Exploratory factor analysis enabled summarizing the data to establish relationships between factors and understand their patterns. The correlation was confirmed between the sourcing strategies and supplier’s performance. Moreover, the regression analysis also confirmed that the procurement process plays a vital role in ensuring the on-time delivery of goods and logistics.
