Abstract: Abstract There are estimated to be 1.2 billion Roman Catholics in the world. The Catholic (universal) Church claims to have received its priesthood authority directly from the Apostle Peter and to be the only true church. More than 40 percent of the world’s Catholics live in Latin America. There are 85 million Catholics in the United States. Here are its doctrines.
