Chapter Chapter 9 in Youth Entrepreneurship, 2023, pp 273-296 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter expands on Chapter 8 by supporting the key barriers and Enablersenablers with empirical findingsQuantitative lens and discussions thereof. This chapter will be presenting data and findings related to internal domainsInternal domains, personal aspects and traits; external domains as educational institutions; and communities. The chapter concludes with a section focused on the COVID-19 epidemic. This section was developed during the initial outbreak of the pandemic and did not form part of the initial investigation. However, under the current socio-political and economic situation in the country, the impact of COVID-19 needs to be taken into consideration when discussing barriers and Enablersenablers to youth entrepreneurship. The COVID-19 epidemic has presented a serious barrier to youth entrepreneurship, which could, however, also act as an enabler if viewed from an entrepreneurial lens. The consequences of COVID-19 will be filtered into each aspect discussed in the chapter to follow.
