Abstract: Abstract An effective leader is able to find a good balance between top-down and bottom-up aspects of leadership, i.e., between top-down actions closely associated with the leader him/herself, and bottom-up actions coming from the leader’s organization, typically stimulated by the leader. Let us discuss what is implied in each of these two sides of leadership.
