A chapter in Wine Tourism and Sustainability, 2024, pp 33-48 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter analyzes the geographical scope and structure of the Spanish wine routes. Through various statistical techniques, it is concluded that, although the structure of each route is differentiated, there are certain patterns of geographical scope, which allows to propose a series of common strategic actions for each of the groups of routes. These proposals, which are aimed at developing the economic sustainability of the territories in which these routes are located, serve as a basis for the development of specific strategies for each route, both for the private organizations that make up the routes and for the public institutions on which these groupings of companies around the wine tourism activity depend.
