Abstract:
Abstract Elhanan Helpman is among the most illustrious economists of his generation. His work has spanned all areas of globalisation, including (1) the interaction between trade, innovation and long-term growth, (2) how special interests influence the redistributive politics of trade policy, (3) the impact of market structure on trade flows, (4) the organisation of firms and production in the global economy, and (5) the interplay between trade, labour markets and inequality.
