Chapter Chapter 1 in Re-writing your Leadership Code, 2024, pp 3-13 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Presenting evidence that leaders are increasingly operating under pressure without time to fully think things through, this introductory chapter shows how leaders are more and more having to rely on their instincts. Using the analogy of a blind gambler, the chapter explores the risks inherent in this reliance, and the consequent need to understand where our leadership instincts come from in order to better manage them.
