Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on the main practical implications arising from our findings for various groups, including individual women, HEIs and managers/HR in the sector and leaders and policymakers in the sector. The first part of the chapter details how policymakers and institutions might address some of the issues raised by the women in our study. The second part of the chapter is aimed at women working in higher education—what they might do to make a successful work life and career for themselves in HEIs, especially if they are aiming to ‘do leadership’.
