Advocacy for Digital Transformation
Nagy K. Hanna ()
Chapter Chapter 6 in Economic Development in the Digital Age, 2024, pp 103-119 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter touches upon several advocacy initiatives the author engaged in since leaving the Bank in 2005. The author continued to advise Bank colleagues and managers on the future of digital development assistance. He also contributed to the formation of advocacy forums beyond the Bank. These included building digital leadership capacity through creating an e-leadership academy; joining the Wits University of South Africa as visiting professor; contributing to various fora and think tanks such as People—Centered Internet; publishing books and articles; and serving on editorial boards. The aim has been to advocate for reforming development assistance to address the imperatives of the digital age.
