Abstract:
Abstract This chapter outlines the author’s motivations to write a book on digital transformation informed by practice. The author reflects upon his motivations to write this book in light of the many challenges facing humanity today. He defines digital transformation as a process and ecosystem, and the role of digital foundations as core elements of this ecosystem. He argues for the role of digital transformation in pursuing inclusive and sustainable development.
