Chapter Chapter 16 in Python for Accounting and Finance, 2024, pp 249-264 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Text classification, also known as text categorization, is a process used in accounting and finance academic research to analyze the language used in large volumes of unstructured text data, such as financial reports, news articles, and social media posts. The goal of text classification is to automatically categorize these documents into predefined categories or classes based on their content, using natural language processing and machine learning techniques.
