Abstract:
Abstract In accounting researchAccessing Data from Other Sources, there is a wide array of data sources beyond the commonly used WRDS and SEC EDGAR platforms. However, utilizing these alternative sources often involves the need to extract and refine data from websites, including the removal of HTML tags. Furthermore, there may be additional technical obstacles to address, such as handling tables and login credentials. Although these sources can provide valuable data not found on WRDS or SEC Edgar, researchers may face difficulties in acquiring and processing the data.
