Abstract:
Abstract The first step of a long journey is easier said than done, for it requires a clear vision, a strategy, and commitment. As Sam Walton seems to suggest, the hard part of his immensely successful venture was not the physical exertion from building the shop in Newport for the grand opening on July 2nd 1962, but the 20 years prior to that when he was planning and strategising—doing the “home work”.
