Chapter Chapter 2 in Innovations for Circularity and Knowledge Creation, 2024, pp 9-19 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The aim of this chapter is the contextualization of the current role of cooperatives in both markets and societies given the issues and crises, climate challenges, and international relations problems facing the world today. This chapter stresses that cooperatives, despite being old institutions, provide a very modern contribution to addressing contemporary issues such as the green economy, the circular economy, sustainability, and the wellbeing of local communities.
