Chapter Chapter 1 in The Palgrave Handbook on the Economics of Manipulation in Sport, 2024, pp 3-23 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As with the First Edition of our Handbook, the scope of this new collection of chapters is wide. Together, our team of contributors, based in Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal and the United States, provide analysis of not only the manipulation of action on the field of play (match-fixing, doping) but also manipulation of sports institutions by internal and external actors and other cases of exploitation of sport for nefarious gain.
