The World’s Smallest Economies in the Background of the World

Aneta A. Teperek ()

Chapter Chapter 2 in Economic Development in the World's Smallest Economies, 2024, pp 7-35 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chapter 2 presents the location of the world’s smallest economies, categorized by typologies such as hemispheres, time zones, continents, and access to the sea. A detailed analysis was conducted on the land area occupied by each of the 93 countries to determine whether the size and shape of a country affect its economic growth and development. A similar study was carried out regarding their geographical location and proximity to neighboring countries.
