Chapter Chapter 13 in Introduction to Incompleteness, 2024, pp 275-291 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In the previous chapter, we proved the fundamental theorem of forcing. In this chapter, we will use the theorem to prove CH $$\mathrm {CH}$$ independent of ZFC. We will conclude with alternative approaches to proving the independence of CH and a discussion of the cardinality of the continuum.
