Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines in depth why conversations between strategy and public and nonprofit organizations are necessary. It provides an overview of the evolution of strategic management scholarship and illustrates the convergences and divergences between the strategy, public, and nonprofit fields. The chapter argues that strategic perspectives can be instrumental in enabling public value creation, benefiting a wide array of stakeholders.
