Abstract: Abstract This chapter attempts to explain the main concepts, definitions and developments of the field of artificial intelligence. It addresses the issues of logic, probability, perception, learning and action. The chapter examines the current “state of the art” of the artificial intelligence systems and its recent developments. Moreover, this chapter presents the artificial intelligence’s conceptual foundations and discusses the issues of machine learning, uncertainty, reasoning, learning and robotics.
