Abstract: Abstract Culture is a central, long-term issue and is always considered the source, endogenous strength, and driving force for effective and efficient national governance. During the course of building a socialist-oriented market economy and integrating into the global economy, our Party and State always respect and promote the unique cultural values of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas. This chapter analyzes the policy and legal framework on culture of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas and barriers of policies and laws on culture of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas to secure sustainable development in Vietnam today.
