Idea Development and CLBDM

Hassan Qudrat-Ullah

Chapter Chapter 7 in Creativity Loops–Based Decision Making, 2024, pp 135-148 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we discuss how to use CLBDM, a framework that uses systems thinking to enhance creativity and quality in idea selection, for prototyping and validation. Prototyping and validation are processes of creating and testing simplified versions of our ideas or solutions with potential users or customers and verifying that they meet the market and business needs. Prototyping and validation can help us reduce risks, costs, and uncertainties, as well as communicate our ideas more clearly and convincingly to stakeholders. We also show how CLBDM, using systems thinking, can help us in both the prototyping and validation processes for the refinement and development of the idea or a creative solution. We hope that this chapter will demonstrate the usefulness and potential of prototyping and validation as methods for evaluating and improving our ideas or solutions using CLBDM.
