Abstract:
Abstract To acquire companies, the manager (General Partners) of a private equity firm sets up a fund with capital contributors (institutional investors, wealthy families, universities, etc.), known as limited partners because of their limited liability. The limited partners contribute almost all the capital (at least 95%), with the manager contributing his or her expertise.
