Chapter Chapter 4 in Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Auditing, 2024, pp 91-106 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract While Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to significantly benefit our society from various angles, its application can give rise to ethical and legal issues. Unfortunately, in critical domains, these issues may erode trust in AI systems and limit their acceptance. Consequently, it is crucial to establish Trustworthy AI. In this chapter, we will explore ethical and legal standards such as privacy, fairness, and transparency of AI systems, as well as examine technological solutions to ensure compliance with these standards.
