Chapter Chapter 8 in The Global Housing Crisis, 2024, pp 187-198 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract When there is a problem, there is also a solution. The more sustainable the solutions are, the less the difficulties repeat. This chapter summarizes the current situation of the housing industry, including the problems, temporary solutions, and policies with all their shortcomings. The roadmap suggested includes learning from past mistakes, designing sustainable cities, reducing costs, creating alternative financing solutions, and utilizing technology. Concrete policy recommendations are also included with the hope of being implemented by the policymakers.
