Abstract:
Abstract This chapter explores the evolving fashion landscape in the context of sustainability. It focuses on the growing awareness and demand for environmentally conscious practices within the industry.This chapter explores the fashion industry's responses to the growing demand for sustainable practices, driven by environmentally conscious consumers. The chapter highlights how the increasing consumer preference for eco-friendly fashion has urged brands to adopt sustainable practices like, eco-friendly materials and ethical sourcing. On the supply side, the chapter highlights the industry's shift towards circular fashion, emphasising the rise of second-hand markets and rental platforms as sustainable alternatives to traditional consumption. These 0changes reflect the liaison between consumer demand and the apparel industry's adaptation to sustainable and responsible practices.
