Abstract: Abstract This chapter highlights important next steps in cognitive economic research in relation to the cognitive revolution. Particular topics discussed are design of human- AI interactions, ensuring that workers and students are as well informed as possible about the impact of AI on their future earnings, and how to test students in the era of Large Language Models. It also stresses business and policy applications of cognitive economic research in relation to financial planning, cognitive decline, and online consumer protection.
